Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Blue Cottage collects and how it is handled. Blue Cottage is a static informational website, and it is designed to collect as little as possible.
Cookies and local storage
Blue Cottage does not set advertising or tracking cookies. The cookie notice shown on the home page records a single preference value in your browser's local storage so that the notice does not reappear on every visit. This value stays on your device, is not transmitted to any server, and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.
The contact form
The contact form on this site runs entirely in your browser. When you submit it, the form simulates a response and clears the fields; it does not send your name, email, phone number, or message to any server, and no submission is stored or delivered. If you reach out by email instead, that message is handled only for the purpose of replying to you.
Analytics
This site does not run third-party analytics or behavioural tracking scripts. Like most web servers, the hosting provider may keep standard access logs (such as IP address and request time) for security and operational purposes; this is outside the control of the site content itself.
External links
Articles link to public sources such as Canadian government pages. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and this policy does not apply to them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version will appear on this page with an updated date.
